The GES ONLINE SCHOOL is a strategic academic intervation that Gombe Education Service undertook to enable contuined learnig and teaching amidst the covid 19 global pandemic that saw total lockdown of physical schooling. This was embarked on in the first lockdown in March 2020. The GES management and it’s ICT department deliberately ventured into the searching for reliable virtual interactive learning platform and assessment forums thus arriving at the ZOOM and EDMODO. The official launch of the VIRTUAL learning was graced by Ministry of education officials and the ICT department, UGANDA governement.

 

The Online school is in it’s third phase of operation and has yielded many positive returns and posed an insightful chalenge to most education institutions in the country which have now embraced the new normal.
